WORLD
CLASS KING SALMON
|
|
Kenai
River: One word describes Kenai River Kings,
BIG!!! Kenai Kings are the largest King Salmon in
the World. In May of 1985, the world-record King
Salmon (just over 97 pounds!) was caught from the
Kenai River. A typical Kenai King weighs in at over
40 pounds and Kings of 50 pounds or more are not
unusual. Every year, NorthStar anglers wage hour-long
battles with Kenai Kings in the 40-50 pound class.
If you want to catch a Trophy King Salmon, there
is no better choice than the Kenai River. The huge
Kings that return to the Kenai River every year
have made this river the premier trophy King Salmon
fishery in the World.
Kasilof River: In May and June, NorthStar
offers the unique experience of fishing for King
Salmon from a quiet, comfortable drift boat on the
beautiful Kasilof River. A typical day on the Kasilof
River entails serveral battles with 20-40 pound
Kings that are notorious for their line-ripping,
tail-dancing runs.
Saltwater
Kings (Cook Inlet): Salt Water
Kings! Enough said. The Salt Water Kings that are
caught from May through the first week of July are
bright silver, in prime condition, and full of power
and fight. Pound-for-pound, no fish challenges a
sportsman like the Salt Water King. It's no wonder
NorthStar guests do not soon forget their battles
with the Salt Water King! |
