WORLD CLASS KING SALMON

Kenai River: One word describes Kenai River Kings, BIG!!! Kenai Kings are the largest King Salmon in the World. In May of 1985, the world-record King Salmon (just over 97 pounds!) was caught from the Kenai River. A typical Kenai King weighs in at over 40 pounds and Kings of 50 pounds or more are not unusual. Every year, NorthStar anglers wage hour-long battles with Kenai Kings in the 40-50 pound class. If you want to catch a Trophy King Salmon, there is no better choice than the Kenai River. The huge Kings that return to the Kenai River every year have made this river the premier trophy King Salmon fishery in the World.

Kasilof River: In May and June, NorthStar offers the unique experience of fishing for King Salmon from a quiet, comfortable drift boat on the beautiful Kasilof River. A typical day on the Kasilof River entails serveral battles with 20-40 pound Kings that are notorious for their line-ripping, tail-dancing runs.

Saltwater Kings (Cook Inlet): Salt Water Kings! Enough said. The Salt Water Kings that are caught from May through the first week of July are bright silver, in prime condition, and full of power and fight. Pound-for-pound, no fish challenges a sportsman like the Salt Water King. It's no wonder NorthStar guests do not soon forget their battles with the Salt Water King!

HALIBUT

SILVER SALMON "Catch the Silver Bullet!"
Alaskan Halibut - one of the world's most succulent fish. Try your luck from an ocean-sized boat on our day-long adventure. (Catches range from 20 to 300 pounds!)
Tens of thousands of Silver Salmon enter the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers during August and September. They are fast, feisty and a handful. Silver Salmon, famous for their acrobatic ability, are a favorite of many anglers. Put an angler on a river that's alive with Silver Salmon, and he'll think he has died and gone to heaven. You'll have an unforgettable adventure angling for the fish that is called the "Silver Bullet."

SOCKEYE SALMON

RAINBOW TROUT
Sockeye Salmon, commonly called "Red Salmon," are famous for their furious, sometimes unstoppable runs. It's not uncommon to have a Red Salmon take all of your line in a matter of seconds...and leave you gaping in amazement at their strength and speed. The fabulous flavor of the Red Salmon is an added bonus for the angler who has experienced the excitement and challenge of landing a Red.
You haven't seen a Rainbow Trout until you have seen the Alaskan variety! They're big, beautifully marked, and a lot of fun to catch. Rainbow Trout trips are full-day excursions spent on the breathtaking upper region of the Kenai River. The fantastic fishing and spectacular scenery makes this an unforgettable experience.
